The captions make the story run very smoothly, even though they do read a bit awkwardly at times. While there is plenty of dialog, he also makes liberal use of captions, something that is unfortunately out of style these days.

Thomas' meticulous adaptation is what really sells it. Begun in Marvel's horror magazines of the `70s, the story was rereleased in a 4-issue miniseries, collected in a premium hardcover, a mass market hardcover, and finally, a softcover edition.

In 2005, Roy Thomas and Dick Giordano completed a project that had been on hold for almost 30 years: a highly-faithful adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic novel Dracula. I encourage anyone who is familiar with the original Dracula of Bram Stoker to purchase this book.

As the book is presented, it provides the story in a very cinema friendly format which can easily be translated into a movie. The book in its graphic format absolutely follows the story line of the original Dracula as envisaged by Bram Stoker. Roy Thomas was able to effectively distill the salient points of the classic novel Dracula by Bram Stoker while Dick Giordano used his talented pen to present a truly outstanding graphic representation of the story. Eventually, their masterpiece was completed and I can assure you it will satisfy many people. However, Giordano and Thomas had every intention of completing what they began and resumed their work on the Dracula story during the early part of this decade. The first half of this work was published in several issues of The Tomb of Dracula comic book during the 1970s and was eventually curtailed due to other commitments being undertaken by the authors. What is amazing is that the work on this publication actually spanned thirty years. This publication is a beautifully bounded hard cover edition of Stoker's Dracula in a graphic novel format.
